On this week's Episode title "Water Softener Technician", Mike tries his hand at working to be a water softener technician; Mike takes on the project of a coin washer dryer.

Each week, our brave host as well as apprentice Mike Rowe introduces viewers into a hardworking group of individuals who overcome fear, danger and sometimes stench to perform their daily tasks. With his hands-on technique, Rowe assumes the duties of the jobs in question operating alongside rattlesnake catchers, fish processors, bee removers and other professionals performing the crucial yet outlandish occupations that simply must have completely finished. A tremendously good hobby, Rowe knows that of your house serving greasy slop to help pigs in Iowa, or picking up five-day-old street kill and transporting it with a crematorium, it's all part of your honest day's work.

Dirty Jobs is a program on the Discovery Route, produced by Pilgrim Motion pictures & Television, in which host Henry Rowe is shown undertaking difficult, strange, disgusting, or messy occupational duties alongside the common employees. The show premiered using two pilot episodes in November 2003. It returned as a set on July 26, 2005.

There is also a European edition from the show, hosted by Danish former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

A worker or team of workers represents Rowe as a fully involved assistant for the typical work day, working hard to complete every task as best the guy can despite discomfort, hazards or repulsive conditions. The Dirty Jobs crew, including field producer Sawzag Barsky, cameramen Doug Glover, Troy Paff, and Dan Eggiman, and audio technician Josh Atkins, often get just while dirty as Rowe may. Rowe frequently takes on-camera jabs from Dave Barsky, regarding Barsky's penchant for establishing scenes where Rowe will encounter by far the most dangerous or dirty part of the job to get a great camera opportunity; indeed, the entire crew often joke and prank 1 another on-camera, for example, when a safety official finishes going over the rules for the Billboard Installer job in the third season (your safety officer asks Rowe to help sign a release, which he does while mock-voicing the word what he signs: "Dave... Barsky... "), or attempting to film Troy defecating in the woods.

Mike engages in near-constant self-deprecating hilarity, making what he calls "dirty jokes", but rarely more versus occasional playful jab at the workers themselves. Nearly every job is even more difficult than he had expected, and this often offers him expressing admiration and respect to the workers' skills and their willingness to consider jobs that most people avoid. The show always begins with the following quote from Rowe, usually spoken while in the middle of a particularly dirty activity:

"My name's Mike Rowe, and this is our job. I explore the country looking for those who aren't afraid to obtain dirty - hard-working individuals who earn an honest living doing the types of jobs that make civil life possible for average folks. Now, get ready to receive dirty. "

The show is a spin-off of any segment host Mike Rowe once did using a local San Francisco method called Somebody's Gotta Practice it. Dirty Jobs Season 8 Episode 4 Water Softener Technician, Watch Dirty Jobs Season 8 Episode 4 Water Online
